The city of Tbilisi could be the venue where Marco Cassetta claims the 15th CUPRA FIP Tour title of his career. The Italian, who won the FIP Silver in Bari earlier this year, will compete in the FIP Bronze Georgia alongside Fabian Oviedo Barazategui. So far, the 2026 season has been an outstanding one for Jaume Romera Barceló. The Spaniard has won the FIP Bronze events in Cordenons and Miami, as well as the FIP Silver in Bandol. Romera Barceló will be aiming for his fourth title of the year, partnering Italy’s Simone Cremona, who won the FIP Bronze Melbourne at the start of the season alongside Sten Richters. Richters will also be in Tbilisi, where he will bid for the title with Pedro Melendez. Also among the leading contenders are Alejandro Calvo, a recent finalist at the FIP Bronze La Nucia, and Fran Ramirez. Together, the pair reached the final of the FIP Bronze Yogyakarta in Indonesia at the end of May.
The women’s draw is headed by Camille Sireix and Tess De Vocht. Sireix has narrowly missed out on the title on three occasions this year: at the FIP Bronze events in Samui and Phangan, Thailand, and at the FIP Bronze Nairobi. They are in the top half of the draw alongside Daria Kucheriavaia and Nika Sluzhiteleva. In the bottom half are Maaike Betz and Liza Groenveld, as well as Vilena Petrova and Vlada Kutuzova. All matches in the tournament will be played at the Gym Breeze venue.
